SCRI UK Investigators Running Royal Parks Half Marathon
Dr Simon Chowdhury, one of SCRI UK's principal investigators, and Dr Charlotte Lemech, one of our Research Fellows, are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 6th 2013 to raise money for research into urological cancers.
These includes prostate, kidney, testicular and bladder cancers. These cancers are the cause of signifcant suffering for many of our patients. For example prostate cancer is the comonest male cancer and the second commonest cause of death due to cancer in men.
Only through research will we increase our understanding about these diseases and improve treatments.
They will be running with colleagues, friends and most importantly some of his patients. They will also be running to represent patients who aren't able to take part due to these diseases and to remember those who are sadly no longer with us.
Please consider supporting this important cause on Dr Chowdhury's fundraising page or on Dr Lemech's page...
