Jonathan Ledermann qualified in medicine and immunology at University College London. He trained in General Internal Medicine and then undertook specialist training in Medical Oncology at Charing Cross Hospital, London and the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, Canada before taking up a substantive post at UCL in 1990.
Jonathan is currently Consultant Medical Oncologist at UCL Hospitals, as well as Director of the Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre, and Clinical Director of the UCL Cancer Institute.
He specialises in the treatment of gynaecological cancers including ovarian cancer and systemic therapies for endometrial and cervical cancers. His research interests lie in the area of clinical trials in gynaecological cancer, and leads many national and international trials of novel therapies in ovarian cancer.
Jonathan's large list of publications includes original research in the treatment of ovarian cancers, reviews of biology and treatment of gynaecological cancers, textbooks and guidelines for treatment.
